The University of Navarra’s IESE Business School offers students a truly international MBA experience. The main campus is centrally located in Barcelona, with ample access to the rest of Europe. Additional campuses and associated offices are located in New York, Madrid, Sao Paulo, and Munich.
For students interested in earning a bilingual MBA degree, IESE Business School offers an intensive pre-program crash course in Business Spanish, as well as regular courses in Business Spanish throughout the first year of the program.
Students who complete these courses as well as two second-year electives conducted in Spanish will receive a bilingual MBA degree.
The cornerstone of the IESE philosophy of leadership is that to be a strong leader, you must be able to lead people well. The school’s relatively small size makes for a warm, collegiate atmosphere where students are constantly challenged to improve themselves on both an individual and professional level.
The school’s strong alumni network and career placement records lend support to the notion that an IESE MBA is an excellent starting place for a truly global career.
Curriculum Overview
As with most U.S. schools, the IESE MBA program is a two-year full time program. The school holds to the Case Method for most courses, offering students a chance to research and analyze prepared cases, debate their solutions within a team structure, and discuss and defend their positions with the professor and the full class.
The first year at IESE is spent almost entirely on core program requirements, as well as a capstone project in which students devise a useful solution to a problem faced by a real company, through their own research into the issue.
During their second year, students are able to choose from more than 70 different electives, as well as participate in an International Exchange Program or participate in one of IESE Business School’s Overseas Modules in New York City, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, or Nairobi.
