Getting an MBA from a top-ranked school is a great way to advance your career. At IE Business School, students are not left on their own to figure out the best way to achieve their career goals. All students take part in professional development classes once a week throughout the year, focusing on leadership training, personal branding, social media, HR & headhunters, and career targeting.

Curriculum Overview

The one-year International MBA at IE Business School is split up into three sections: a 20-week core period, a five-week lab period, and a 13-week elective period. During the core period, all IE students are given a similar foundation with which they can begin building a career.

In addition to the typical business fundamentals and general management topics covered by most MBA programs, at IE all students are taught to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and to learn the value of innovation in a digital world.

During the second and third periods, students are able to branch out from the fundamentals and begin shaping a program that speaks to their career goals.

Students can choose from three labs during their second period: a start-up lab, for those focusing on entrepreneurial skills; a social impact lab, for students interested in social enterprises; and a business impact lab for students who are interested in making a difference within existing companies.
