Each time an MBA admissions committee (adcom) member picks up an application to review they ask themselves three important questions?
WHO: The first one deals with Who. Who is this candidate? They genuinely want to know whether the applicant they are considering is authentic and real.
WHAT: The second question they ask is “What”. What has this person done to date and is it distinctive? What is their context. The adcom recognizes that each person is shaped by his/her unique circumstances. Therefore, they consider the background and life circumstances that have shaped the candidate’s life.
HOW: The final question the adcom considers when reviewing your application deals with “How”. They want to know how you will add value to the business school, your section, learning teams, and community. Will they read about you in the future?
