Fuqua Business SchoolDuke University’s Fuqua Business School is one of the newer graduate schools in the United States, having enrolled its first class just 45 years ago. Despite its relative newcomer status, the Fuqua program has become well-known as a top-notch center for MBA research and real-world experience.

Curriculum Overview

First year students at Fuqua business school all start their experience with a month-long orientation and team-building experience designed to introduce them to their classmates.

During the Global Initiative orientation and for the first two six-week terms, students will complete the core curriculum courses alongside their cohort.

That allows students to get into electives as early as the winter of their first term.

Important Dates & Application Deadlines

The Fuqua School of Business typically has three windows, or rounds, where they accept applications: October, January, and March.

In addition, they offer an Early Action window in September. Students interested in this option should research it thoroughly, because Early Action acceptance is binding.

Applications for July 2015 admission are closed as of March 19, 2015. International students are encouraged to apply in rounds 1 or 2 in order to allow additional time to complete visa requirements.

Tuition Cost

The cost for the standard, full time daytime MBA program for Fuqua Business School’s 2015-2016 school year is $63,956.

Additional fees, including health insurance, books and supplies, food, housing, transportation, and other miscellaneous costs, can add an additional $21,808 a year.

For the graduating class of 2014, 94% of graduates who were seeing employment received an offer by mid-August 2014.

Median base salary for Fuqua business school graduates was $111,000, with a median signing bonus of $25,000.
